Counselling and Psychotherapy for Individuals, Couples and Groups
- Counselling is a shorter term treatment for more specific issues to work out options to your circumstances or to gain support when going through a difficult period, such as grief. Counselling can help you to clarify issues, explore options, develop strategies, gain support and increase self-awareness.
- Psychotherapy or therapy is a longer-term treatment for more complex and long standing issues. The work is more in-depth dealing with core issues that stop you from feeling good about yourself. Facilitating the healing of the psyche can help you experience yourself differently in the world and make wise choices for yourself.
Individuals
Individual counselling helps you understand and process your experience of your issues. Through facilitation new awareness emerges that can assist in making positive changes for a healthier lifestyle.

Couples
Couple counselling can help you understand and resolve conflicts and improve your relationship and put it back on track. In couple counselling the focus is on each of you individually and on your relationship. It provides a space for both of you to address these issues in an environment that promotes safety for both.
Couple counselling can help you:

- Discover patterns of relating
- Explore your individual value system
- Explore the direction of the relationship
- Improve intimacy in your relationship
- Negotiate the process of separation
My role as a couple therapist is to help you explore and understand your current relationship by identifying negative interactional patterns. This allows for new and more effective patterns to emerge and establish. Tasks are given to reinforce new learning that has emerged from our sessions together.
Meditation
Meditation classes are run every Wednesday at 9am in Summer Hill.
Meditation trains the mind to focus on single-pointedness with benefits including physical and mental relaxation, lowered anxiety, stress reduction, improved concentration & memory and general well-being.

Group work
Group work gives you the opportunity to raise your self awareness by interacting with others, trying out new behaviours, learning new skills, gaining support, giving and receiving feedback.
